I love reading but haven’t been reading much since 4-5 years. I’m trying to go back to reading, so I’m looking for books that are not too long and/or easy to read.
I’m not interested in romance / sci-fi / horror. I’m 23 years old, and I don’t want any books about high-school / college students. Also, nothing too sad please 🙂

How about The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna?
City of Truth by James Morrow is a funny and sad short novella (160 pages)

Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes is one of the best stories ever published:

Warning: *Both* of these books *will* make you cry.
Beat the Reaper by Josh Bazell
Maybe some Suspense novels that are page turners and not too deep. Those always get me out of a slump.
Just a random book I loved that isn’t sad and quirky…Elenor Oliphant is Completely Fine. I just loved it.
