I am looking for a light, feel-good read with simple language and sentence structure appropriate for someone learning English.
I started a two-person book club with my MIL who is learning English, and the first book I chose, a simple adult romance, was too difficult. Middle grade or young YA that would also interest adults are preferred. Please no sexual content (or anything you wouldn’t want to read together with your MIL lol) and no sad endings. Thank you!
