I ordered Notes from Underground by Dostoevsky on Amazon but it won’t get to me for another week. Looking for something short or medium length to pass the time in the meanwhile.
Just recently finished The Stranger by Camus (well written but i disagreed with the central argument of the book), Crime & Punishmentby Dostoevsky, and A Farewell to Arms by Hemingway.

Ian McEwan, The Innocent
White Knights by Dostoevsky is very short.
As is The Overcoat by Nikolai Gogol.
The Great Gatsby by F Scott Fitzgerald is not long and an easy read.
Most Hemingway would fit the bill.
The Pearl by John Steinbeck.
