I’ll be doing the Bataan memorial death march, And I need a good audio book to keep me from feeling the pain. I expect to be done in 10-15 hours. I’ve been listening to a few books on economics but am interested in something with more of a narrative.
So, hit me with your recommendations for pretty much anything with a compelling narrative. I’m not opposed to smut but I tend to skip over the smutty parts since I primarily read on the road. My interests would include historical fiction or nonfiction, fantasy, or sci-fi for the most part.
Thanks in advance!

Good luck with your hike – DH completed that one 3x (trained for 5x, cancelled 2x due to covid). Hope you have good shoes, an extra pair of socks and a hat. Let us know how it goes.
Something from WW2 could be a good choice- perhaps Unbroken [https://www.amazon.com/Unbroken-Laura-Hillenbrand-audiobook/dp/B004CJN7TG](https://www.amazon.com/Unbroken-Laura-Hillenbrand-audiobook/dp/B004CJN7TG)
