New to reading and have gone too deep into one genre

I have read no more than 5 real books in my life

I’m completely new to reading this year and have jumped into the first genre that caught my interest sci-fi. Specifically warhammer style fantasy.

I’m looking to pivot out into the crime or horror genre and even romance as these are some elements I’ve really enjoyed in my last reads ideally something that blends this.

I’m open to all time periods but I would prefer for the setting to be modern day based.

I’m completely for trying anything and appreciate any suggestions.
