I’m in a heavyyyy reading slump! I enjoy romance, fantasy, thrillers etc. I’m looking for an adult book preferably and either a standalone or a short series because I have so many series I wanna read in my TBR i don’t need to add another monster to it atm lol
The thing is right now if something starts off even mildly slow I’m snoozing through it and realizing I wasn’t paying attention the last five pages. 😭😭 idk why this is happening to me I was devouring books a couple months ago

Are you open to nonfiction? If so the opening of Endurance by Alfred Lansing is the best opening I’ve read in a long time.

Lexicon by Max Barry. Incredibly original plot that starts at 100% action and only goes up from there.
