Does anyone have any recs for books where the main character goes on a journey that is spiritual, religious, or philosophical in nature? Doesn’t matter to me if the journey is positive or destructive (actually, bonus points if it’s a destructive journey). Any genre is fine but I’d prefer fiction.

The A24 film, The Witch also had the vibe that I’m looking for. I hope this isn’t too niche of an ask.
