The only classic I’ve ever read is pride and prejudice and i didn’t really like it (unpopular opinion, I know) but i want to give classics another chance and this time read something that has more of a plot but i dont really know where to start. Any reccomendation?

      Voltaire “candida”. Funny, easy read.
Dickens “David copperfeild”. Sure it’s long, but you’ll wish it was even longer.

Jane eyre, animal farm, crime and punishment, of mice and men, a brave new world, house of spirits, the count of montecristo, east of eden, the handmaid’s tale. Didn’t feel like any of these were a drag.

“Farenheit 451” and “Of mice and men” are short but great classics. Great for beginners. My personal favorite is “Of mice and men”. You finish it in 90 minutes but it leaves you thinking for days.

You might try something by Jules Verne (like Around The World in 80 days), or maybe Alexandre Dumas (Count of Monte Cristo or Man in The Iron Mask maybe). There’s always Charles Dickens (A Tale of Two Cities probably).
