I have just read finished “Non-Violent Communication”, by Marshall B. Rosenberg, which really altered the way i perceived things.

This book showed me the power of words and perspective. For example, the chapter that taught us that the use of “should have” or “could have” invites negative emotions such as shame and guilt, hence, we should refrain from using them.

The book also taught us that there is no wrong or right in life, but only needs and wants. This phrase itself is responsible for me no longer getting mad at people for what they do, but seeing the whole situation as what needs are they trying to communicate.

Overall, this book is very well written and it consistently emphasises the the fundamentals of NVC (Non-Violent Communication) which is super applicable to life.

Would love it if anyone has any suggestions for books as good as NVC?
