Spoilers for both books, I guess.
I started reading Don’t Let Her Stay first after finding it on Goodreads under horror. I thought it was cool, but it’s pretty clear that the plot twist is that Chloe is actually a psychopath or that the narrator is just crazy. I don’t find it that interesting.
Never Lie, though, I thought was fenomenal initially, I’m about a third of the way through and this just feels wayyy too on the nose. The husband is actually EJ, as hinted at by 500 different things. It really fooled me into thinking the husband was just s great guy but making it so obvious only a third of the way in is odd. This one I will keep reading, maybe, but it seems fairly clear that either the husband murdered Dr. Hale and then wanted to buy the house as some kind of revenge plot, Judy was also probably in on it somehow.
If I’m way off and I just look silly saying they’re predictable while predicting absolutely nothing, pardon me, but I really do feel like the twists are too on the nose.
