Anyone ever notice that they use a certain formula? I’m using goodreads.

    Second Apocalypse:

“The Darkness That Comes Before is a history of this great holy war, and like all histories, the survivors write its conclusion.”

This is How You Lose The Time War:

“Now, what began as a taunt, a battlefield boast, grows into something more. Something epic. Something romantic. Something that could change the past and the future.

Except the discovery of their bond would mean death for each of them. There’s still a war going on, after all. And someone has to win that war.”

I have gotten to the point that if a book blurb has the word “propulsive” in it I will automatically refuse to read it unless I already know and enjoy the author. It feels like at least every third mystery/thriller book is described as “propulsive” and it annoys me to know end!
