Win by Harlan Coben – are these real people?

Forgive me, I’m fairly sure this is a stupid question.

I’m ready Win and I’m to the point where they are talking about the “iconic” photo of Ry Strauss, Arlo Sugarman, and the 4 four women holding up wine bottles.

I’ve tried to Google this and everything I’ve come up with points to it being something that Harlan made up, but I just want to be sure I’m not missing some piece of 1970s Americana.
