just finished the book and i don’t even know what to think really, some aspects were brilliant, 10/10, especially the writing and the way that the hive mind of the bunnies worked, each voice indistinguishable from the other at that point. but other parts just sort of fell flat on their face; this attempt to be so feminist and center women, yet the bunnies dream is to create their ideal man and in the end they completely destroy themselves over him. I guess there’s the poetic irony of it all, their performative feminism, their work and their words that contrast so starkly with their actions in the end but it just irked me to be honest.
Then we have Samantha, the MC, she was absolutely miserable 99% of the time and it made me feel miserable too sometimes. I didn’t understand why it was necessary to the extreme level that it was, i understand the point of the tortured and miserable poet but i just felt that it was taken a bit too far. Not to mention the fact that after months and months of the bunnies failing to create their perfect hybrid she succeeds her first try to perfectly! it just really enraged me!

also the fact that Max (a man) went and did everything that she was too cowardly to do. Within this ultra feminist book, the female MC needed a man (version of herself but still a man ) to actually DO anything and manifest her desires!!! it was infuriating!

the book was definitely not bad though as a whole, would recommend.
