Please could you recommend me (novels) or (short stories) about miserable wives whose husbands commit bad things to them or to their children and abuse them to the extent that these wives kill their husbands? And thank you
*Reader, I Murdered Him* by Betsy Cornwall isn’t exactly this, but it comes closest of anything I’ve read lately– it’s a Jane Eyre offshoot about Rochester’s ward mostly grown up and furious at all the abusive men hurting her loved ones, and deciding to do something about it.
