Finished up Resurrection Walk this morning, and now I feel kind of empty inside. Connelly is the probably the first prolific bestselling author that I’ve “exhausted,” at least among those who more or less put out at least one title a year. (I’ve read everything James Ellroy has written but his output is MUCH less frequent.)

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a new “series” to get into, along the same lines. I tend to gravitate toward more “grounded” stories in terms of fiction, and I like how Connelly kept everything within the lines of the real world (even to the point of referencing real-world events as they happened, like the COVID pandemic, election of 2016, etc.)

I have the first few of the Longmire novels, so that might be a good start, but I was wondering if there are any other series like this that I might not be aware of.

    Thanks!

You might like either Vince Flynn or Clive Cussler. I can also recommend Mark Greaney, and maybe Steve Berry.

      First books:

*American Assassin* – Vince Flynn, Mitch Rapp series

*Golden Buddha* – Clive Cussler’s Oregon Files books

*The Grey Man* – Mark Greaney’s Grey Man series

*The Templar Legacy* – Steve Berry’s Cotton Malone series

*The Camel Club* – David Baldacci, Camel Club series.
