Context: I’m reading through a “100 books to read before you die” and this book was on the list.
I would love to hear other people’s opinions on this book! I think it did some interesting things with its writing style, particularly early in the book when it frantically cuts between multiple characters and scenes. I also enjoyed the ending of the book.
Dystopian future books is not a genre I have read much of, but I enjoyed its overall message about consumerism and I think it holds up.
The only major complaint I have is that I didn’t really feel any connection with any of the characters and I was not really invested in their stories. I think the dystopian world was more interesting than the characters in that world, but maybe that was part of the point.
