Hi, everyone!
I’m studying the Zohar right now. It is an awesome work and much of the study involves this deep diving into the cryptic decisions of the author, the symbology behind the jewish culture and more. And now I have this scene in my head:
* An old scholar, a candle burning slowly and a forgotten book with a forgotten language being deciphered; the room that encompasses these long study session is located inside a scriptorium that itself is located inside an ancient historical library. This library is the flower that blooms from within a monastery in the mountains.
So, I want something that can give me that scenario. I DON’T want a random book that “makes me feel like a scholar” or anything like that.
Other stuff with similar feelings is acceptable. Like the first part of Call of Cthulhu where they study the piece carved with the glyphs and stuff.
It can be fiction or non-fiction, realistic or fantastic, doesn’t matter.
I know this can be a dead end search but I had to try.
