Maybe a little niche but I’ve been watching Northern Exposure lately, extremely beautiful show. Reminds me of like a Raymond Carver story at times. Slice of life, really beautiful stuff. Would love to read something similar. Books that come to mind are Empire Falls and Winesburg Ohio (which I love) for sure. Ideally something about a town with compelling characters but I’m open to stuff that has a similar vibe narratively etc. Thanks folks!
