I would like to ask for your book recommendations with the following details:

2. Reader description: In their 50s, Japanese
This is actually a book for my Japanese boss and I want to buy a history book written in Japanese to make it easier for him to read. I heard that some books are very good in English but not as good after being translated to Japanese, that’s why I couldn’t just look it up on Google by myself (I don’t speak Japanese).
