I know this is a weird and stupid question lol, but I personally think Stephen King’s books are the pizza of the book world. Stephen King’s books are very popular and well-known. I think his books are so readable and he writes in this cinematic style. I know not everyone likes his books but he is probably the most recognizable author living today imo. The only author to have had more than 30 books become no.1 bestsellers and now he’s got so many books published. His stories hit home, no matter how bizarre they may be.

When I think of pizza, I think of something that has to stand the test of time as a classic through generations of readers and has had many variations done to it. For a single author, I would say Shakespeare; for better or worse, the bastard is embedded in culture and his words are still today being adapted into modern-day works.

    2. I’ve never really liked Steven Kings long form books. Got bored of them. His short stories are bangers though.

I’ve never met anyone who doesn’t like Douglas Adams.

    3. I think pizza as an adjective is a bit loose, what pizza means to any 2 different people varies so much because of how versatile a meal it is. say a thin light dough margarita pizza is a nice light meal to pair with wine. and a chicago deep dish is a heavy luxurious meal. Detroit style is a delicious economic and efficient operation of stuff that just works.

anyway Magarita pizza I kinda feel might be Ursula K le-guin.

Chicago Deep Dish- Might Be Joe abercrombie, a grim dark fantasy novelist whos entry novel is the blade itself or Pierce Brown, A Space opera styled after Roman empire. the first novel is Red Rising which straddles the line between YA and and adult fiction but the series quickly matures.

Detroit style Pizza feels to me like Brandon Sanderson less an artist and more a craftsman that you simply can’t find any fault with because He delivers on his promises implicit in his works. He may not give you what you like but gives what he promises
