Anything by Paul Beatty, but especially Slumberland and The Sellout
**Starter Villain by John Scalzi** is the funniest book I’ve read in the past year.
If you haven’t read {{The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy}} I highly recommend it.
{{Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas}} is a wild ride.
Pretty much anything by Terry Pratchett or Christopher Moore would be fair game for humor.
Edit to add: I just got {{All Systems Red by Martha Wells}} yesterday, which features an uninterested and misanthropic robot. Haven’t read yet, but is mentioned in this sub ALL the time.
For a witty and humorous read, check out “Good Omens” by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. It’s a hilarious tale of an angel and a demon who team up to prevent the coming of the Antichrist.
