I’ve tried reading out loud, and reading in my head, but I seem to read somewhat at a similar speed regardless (it’s almost as if I just hear a voice sounding out the words in my head when I read silently).
Is there a way I can improve my reading speed? Although not entirely a bad thing, it takes me weeks to read some books compared to others 😅

are you enjoying the books you’re reading? what specifically makes you think you need to read faster? i’m a pretty decently fast reader and i don’t enjoy books any more than someone who reads more slowly than i do. it’s not a race, or a competition. it’s a solo activity you can enjoy at your own pace.
The only way to do that will be through experience reading. So jus read as much as possible and you won’t even notice your speed increasing, but it will.
One tip that might work is pointer reading. Put your finger under the word you’re reading and it might help. It works for a little, but that’s only a temp solution. I also made up the name I used but the technique is used by some.
Can you take a speed reading course I took one in college
From what I understand, the basic thing for speedreading is to NOT say the words in your head. I never really followed up with it, but I recall that chewing gum helps you learn it.
