My pet peeves: toxic positivity, bootstrap narratives, privilege packaged as just “having the right mindset”
Topics I’m interested in: women authors, learning new ideas, skills or tools, identity exploration, mental health, social commentary, breaking free from systems of control, morality in complex situations/grey areas, people seen as the black sheep, second chances and redemption, feminism, religious trauma, chronic illness/fatigue, disability advocacy.
Books I’ve loved:
I’m Glad My Mom Died— Jennette McCurdy
Where the River Flows— Rachel Havekost
Love Warrior— Glennon Doyle
Books I liked (but were more challenging for my attention span):
Daring Greatly— Brene Brown
Just Mercy— Bryan Stevenson
How to Keep House While Drowning— KC Davis
I really appreciate you reading and suggesting! You rock.

My Lovely Wife in the Psych Ward by Mark Lukach. Beautifully written, so clearly a work of love, and one of the best memoirs I’ve read.
