Daddy Longlegs is probably one of my all time favorite books.
I would love to find a book with any similar elements of:
– woman finding self-actualization, despite being a fish-out-of-water and hijinks ensuing
– Female friendship
– Historical setting
– A timeline where we really get to enjoy all the seasons and holidays
– Friends-to-lovers and Mutual Pining (with extra steps!)
– Magical social events like fancy holiday parties, dances, and extended stays with wealthy friends/stays in the countryside
– Mysteries about the people in the social circle of the main character
I liked Anne of Green Gables but she’s a little too young of a mc for me? Same with Little Women for a lot of the book.
I would love if it was an actual classic book but it could be historical fiction or even fantasy. Doesn’t have to be set in America/Europe either.
