Hi,
I need book recs for a planned trip that’s nearly 24 hours, plus the hours of waiting at the airports and all the time spent in-between flights. I imagine I’ll need more than one or two books so the more suggestions the better!
Any genre except sci-fi, horror, or nonfiction. Preference for literary, fantasy, and romance.
Some books I’ve enjoyed include Dracula (Stoker), Metamorphosis (Kafka), Convenience Store Woman, Earthlings, Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, Babel: an Arcane History, the Little Prince, the Secret History, Rick Riordan’s series, and Discworld.
Thank you in advance!

Since you liked Dracula you might like The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. It’s long! And it’s really gripping; I never like vampire books but I loved this one.
Other ideas:
The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver
Where’d You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple
White Oleander by Janet Fitch
If you’re open to middle grade fantasy (which it seems like you are, since you mentioned Rick Riordan), I highly highly recommend the [Nevermoor](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/6a6d5ca1-b2f5-47be-828c-018144d3bbc7) series by Jessica Townsend! It’s my favorite series, and I feel like not enough people know about it, even though it has so many very positive reviews on the major online book review platforms, so I try to spread the word 🙂
The audiobooks are excellent too, if that’s something you enjoy!
For fantasy
Try the Super Powered series 🦸🏻♂️. Teens with powers go to a school for the ‘Supers’. 4 books in the series but they’re fun and long. And u can find the PDFs online as well
Book 1: Children of Blood and Bone
Book 2: Children of Virtue and Vengeance
Listen to the audiobooks as the narrator is absolutely incredible and the third book of the trilogy will be out later this year.
Fantasy, magic, African mythology
The Scholomance trilogy
The Ancillary Justice trilogy
Are you bringing actual books or a kindle?
