I’m not sure if I can articulate this well, but going to try. I like reading true crime and am interested in the genre, but feel like it often exploits victims and their suffering for money. I’m looking for book recommendations written by family members/potential victims/victims, etc where the author of the book/person receiving the money from sales is someone directly connected to the crime who chose to tell their story. Basically looking for true crime books where the beneficiary of sales isn’t a third party exploiting tragedy. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!
