So I grew up reading fanfictions. I know it’s weird but in fanfiction, especially the bigger/longer ones, they have beta readers and editors. People who read thru the content for grammar mistakes or plot holes etc etc. they would always thank their beta readers or editors at the end of that chapter.
Which makes me think that all books have beta readers and editors right? I mean they are published, not all from big companies, but if a fanfic writer can have editors and beta readers, book authors have them right?
So why is it that so many books are making so many grammar mistakes? Is the school system just not teaching properly anymore? I can’t get thru the Disney Villain series due to the sentence structure and grammar mistakes in the book. DISNEY! I found 10 in the first chapter.
What is going on? I’m not talking about sentences that starts with But. Although that is a crime in itself. I’m talking about sentences not making sense kind of error
