I used to read a lot when younger and I’m keen to get back into it. I have no clue where to start but I enjoy some mystery, romance (similar to that of pride & prejudice, one day etc). Any suggestions ?
Jean Hanff Korelitz’ **The Plot** is mystery/suspense (no romance). Its plot line is a writer steals the plot of a story from another author. The resultant book becomes a big seller, and then the author is targeted by an unknown who knows of the theft.
I found the beginning of the book moved along slowly, with its pace picking up once Ms. Korelitz dispensed with the “this is what an author goes through to come up with a story and get it published” background.
