I want to read more books about people’s life experiences. Books which give a rich sense of their vibe. **Especially people who are on some life journey, figuring out what they want, having interesting social interactions, etc.**
Books in this genre I’ve most enjoyed:
* Orwell – Down and Out in Paris & London
* (Especially loved the vivid descriptions of Parisian social life and restaurant industry in the 20s/30s. Also the lucid prose.)
* Flea – Acid for the Children
* (Especially loved hearing about the wildness of his childhood, and the descriptions of playing music.)
* Kerouac – On The Road
In all of these, I love the vibe of (learning how to) ‘surrender’—to flow with the universe and what it brings, not to resist, but to allow experience to unfold, etc. **I’m especially keen on more books with this vibe.**
I guess I’m largely asking for memoir/autobiography, but as per On The Road, it’s totally fine if it’s semi-fictional.
