Hi! Im not sure how to word this but i am having a hard time finding a book id be interested in. My mother has been begging for months for me to read like a “real” novel. (i read a lot of fanfiction) but novels don’t tag themselves the same way fanfictions do so i have no idea how to like, find a book id actually be interested in.
i’d like to stick in the fantasy genre, its not my favorite but my mom is a big fan of fantasy (acotar, fourth wing, zodiac academy) books and i figure i should try it.
books i’ve read and liked:
A court of thorns and roses (only read the first one)
twilight saga
Hunger games (only read the first one)
Le Miserable
Phantom of the Opera
my favorite fanfiction tags are:
angst, hurt/comfort, hurt/no comfort, enemies to lovers, dead dove (only read in the nsfw context but i don’t have an issue with gore), slow burn, ABO
i am a lesbian and it would be so cool if there were gay people in said book but i know it’s probably not that easy to come by.
