OK, so I’ve been going through a dry spot with reading, where nothing is really tickling my fancy.
I saw ‘A kiss of shadows’ by Laurell K. Hamilton recommended somewhere on reddit and it caught my fancy because it seemed similar to a series of books I absolutely love.

I have been obsessed with ‘The Dresden Files’ by Jim Butcher since I was a teen.
I love the mix of crime/ magic/ nerd/ sarcastic humour.
However, I’m 189 pages into ‘A kiss of shadows’ and there’s just too much sex for me. Like, it’s good sex but I want the slow burn.
Has anyone got something they can recommend that’s like a half way house between the two?
