Someone claimed that listening to the audio of a book is the same thing as reading a book and I was quite alarmed. While I do believe that there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with listening to audiobooks, it is in no way shape or form, the same thing as reading a book. Listeners and readers are certainly enjoying the story the same… but the two are not synonymous.
I firmly believe that people should be saying, “Yes I listened to that book, and it was great”, OR “Yes I read that book, and it was great.”
Am I crazy for standing firm in this belief?!
