Hi!! My (26F) niece has recently showed interest in reading which makes my bookworm heart excited! However, I don’t know what to recommend for her. For context, she’s 11, but will be 12 in a couple months. She spends a lot of time on social media and keeps seeing books like Icebreaker floating around but obviously that would be wildly inappropriate for her. I want to get her something with VERY ya romance, like I’m talking holding hands and MAYBE kissing but nothing heavy/no sex or even references to sex— her parents are conservative in this regard. I can only think of books I liked when I was her age but she wants books that weren’t written before she born. Any recommendations??
