Suggest me a book with yin-yang (mirror) characters

The Departed is one of my favorite films because of the way the protagonist and antagonist are contrasted throughout the storytelling. They are presented like mirror images of each other, and just like a yin-yang symbol, each one’s story contains nuggets of the other’s. They are told in parallel until they finally converge.

I would like to read a book with this kind of storytelling, where parallel characters are unknowingly influencing each other and crossing paths (it doesn’t have to be spies or undercover cops, it could be any context) until they finally meet.
