So my friend’s favourite book of all time is Roadside picnic by the Strugatsky brothers, i have read that book and liked it quite a bit but i haven’t since read books similar to that one so im having a hard time choosing what book id like to gift that friend.
Ive browsed the internet for books similar to it, and these are the ones i found:
Metro 2033 by Dimitry Glukhovsky
Solaris by Stanislaw Lem
Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer
Brave new world by Aldous Huxley
Hard to be a god by Strugatsky brothers
Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes
Heart of a dog by Mihail Bulgakov
I think that what she likes the most about Roadside picnic is the writing style and of course the story so another book by the Strugatsky brothers would be a safe bet, but i want to get her something different that she will equally enjoy so that’s why im here asking for opinions and other recommendations for something weird with a good world building and an interesting writing style.
Thank you all in advance 😊
