Hello. I’m stressed af about everything in my life right now and kind of in a holding pattern. Have plans to move within the next 6 months but waiting on visa approval. Job (attorney) is stressful. I just hired someone at my job and that is stressful because it hasn’t worked out when I’ve hired before. Financially, I could be doing better.
Please suggest me a book that will a) take my mind off of things, b) make me laugh so hard I cry, c) have a main character under the same or similar pressures, d) provide some kind of catharsis, or e) all of the above.
TIA.

You might like Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine if you can skew a bit dark with your humor. I found this book hilarious and touching and surprising. Also David Sedaris always makes me laugh, but those are essays/short stories (his diaries are also excellent and fascinating.) Best of luck with everything.
