I’ve read a lot of posts and discussions in some subreddits.
It doesn’t matter how you read a book. If it’s a physical Copy, or on a kindle or a different e-book service or even an audio book. As long as you’re having fun and loving what you’re processing up there, it’s reading.
I ask myself a lot what the real variant of reading is. E-books can’t be reading, you’re listening! You’re not feeling the story from word to word! I can confirm one thing, that’s absolutaly not true! When someone tells you, you’re not a book lover, just because you have downloaded all your favourite books on your kindle, or have listened to your favourite books with headphones while washing the dishes or driving to work, doesn’t mean your not a book lover!
Keep loving books! Doesn’t matter how you do so!

Lets say that louder for the people in the back!!!!
I’ve been a physical book girly my whole life but since becoming a mom I kept having less and less time to read and any time I did have I just wanted to sleep. Audible has been a game changer for me, I listen now while doing the shoping, in my car and even the odd time while I’m making dinner or doing dishes. I still get physical copies and read them when I have more time of course and I do have a kindle too and last year between audible, kindle and physical books I read 143 books which is the most amount of books I’ve read in years!!
It doesn’t matter, because the visualization is the same. Whether you hear the words spoken via E-Book, or someone reading aloud, or just reading by yourself, each feeds a mental image, which in the end is the artform reading creates.
Now there can be an argument over reading/listening, which I can easily see both sides of it (towards counting to books ‘read’ for a year or such). But like I said, this artform is the same, a purely individualistic image and series of events within ones mind, shaped by the individuals personal experiences and perspectives.
