Disclaimer: I’m on book 1 and have read up to chapter 13.
Please if you could answer this with no spoilers that would be great 🫶🏽

Idk if I missed the explanation or if it’s going to be explained later on but why do faeries and the other creatures in the fae world hate humans so much? I know that faes see humans as less than because they are mortal and don’t live forever. When I asked Google all it told me was that faes hate humans because they see them as less than cause they are mortal. (So basically the same thing).

I get the whole magical creatures finding humans to be less than and all, that makes sense to me. But there are some scenes where the behaviors of the faes/creatures are coming from a place of vengeance or something of that sort, like when Jude had her finger bitten off because that creature hates humans. I feel like the hate that the faeries have for humans in this fantasy world is from way more than just seeing them as less than, while reading I thought maybe the faes had been wronged by humans in the past or something.

I feel like there is something else maybe, something that humans do or have done to them that makes them hate them the way they do.

I’d just really like to understand the book better, so far I’m enjoying it.
If the answer is going to be answered later on in the book or the series then let me know.
