I like adult and young adult fiction. But I’m going on a long road trip to visit my sick relative so I want to be stress free when reading a book. So nothing scary like Steven King. Since it’s Oct does anyone know a good adult or young adult book that has some Halloween themed content? Maybe like a cute witch story like Hocus Pocus? Thanks:)

Not sure, but maybe:
Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett (has a witch, the end of the world, angels and demons, etc.)
The Little Witch by Otfried Preußler (but it’s a children’s book, so not sure if you’re interested in that)
There’s a whole category of fiction called “Witch Cozies”–cozy mysteries (fun, light-hearted stuff) featuring witches as characters. Go to Amazon and type in “witch cozy mystery.” You’ll get tons of books to read!
[A Night in the Lonesome October](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/62005.A_Night_in_the_Lonesome_October) is fun! It’s a fantasy/comedy/mystery mashup of a bunch of classic horror villains and tropes, all narrated by a talking dog.
We Ride Upon Sticks by Quan Barry
“Something Wicked This Way Comes” by Ray Bradbury. It’s a dark and atmospheric novel about two boys confronting a sinister carnival that arrives in their town, bringing with it eerie and supernatural events. It’s perfect for a spooky read during the Halloween season. I read it during Halloween in 2020.
Payback’s a witch by Lana Harper.
Practical Magic series (:
Murder is Easy by Agatha Christie is a good fall murder mystery.
