Written in 1985, this book is no less relevant today. Boorstin demonstrates a genuine curiosity about humans and our desire to search for greater knowledge. This is a long book, at 684 pages, and I loved it. It felt like every page, every topic was truly expressed with breath-taking research. It is a marvel that I have read, given away only to repurchase. This is one of those books that changes how you view life, the world and your role in it.
