I’m not a huge reader, but I often gravitate to King in the same way one might settle into watching the Office or Always Sunny for the umpteenth time; it’s familiar, safe, and likely to be enjoyable.
I’ve read maybe 15 King books including the Dark Tower, so I obviously enjoy them. Mostly the subject matter, the sci-fi magic and horror parts (less so the lengthy storytelling and character creation, actually…)
What’s something that would be equally enjoyable for me to dabble in?

John Dies at the End by David Wong.
It’s a sci-fi horror comedy series. The humor is a little juvenile but well written and fun. It’s about two guys who take a drug called soy sauce that opens their perception up to the supernatural. So they start fighting monsters and stuff. It’s a great mix of some high concept horror ideas and dick jokes.
Maybe Joe R. Lansdale? The Bottoms or Cold In July are both great. Blue collar characters in small towns etc.
anything by T Kingfisher, maybe What Moves the Dead or The Hollow Ones
Leviathan Wakes (first in The Expanse series) has sci-fi/horror, good characters and good world building. If you like it, there’s nine books in the series.
