Looking for a book to gift and wanted to ask here if anyone had any recommendations. It’s a birthday gift for a friend who reads quite a bit- has enjoyed the secret history, the girl next door, house of leaves and the silent patient. Also into semantics, religion (history of how it came to be) and psychology.
Was thinking about going with the librarianist by Patrick deWitt, since he recently made the decision to be a rare book librarian. I personally haven’t read the book and there are mixed reviews on Goodreads, which is making me doubt my choice.
Any suggestions appreciated!
