I’m looking for books to read while caring for my newborn during my maternity leave. I’m looking for something engaging and lighthearted but fairly straightforward that I can read in 10 minute increments during night feeds. Female protagonist is a bonus but not a requirement. Must be available on Kindle.
Right now I’m re-reading Tamora Pierce’s Protector of the Small series. Revisiting her other quartets is also on my list, but I’d also like to read something new. Recently I’ve also enjoyed reading a lot of Naomi Novik and Susana Clarke. I’ve previously loved more epic works like Brandon Sanderson’s Stormlight Archives but with my broken sleep schedule I don’t think I could follow something so complex these days.
Thanks!
