Are there any books that left that impression on you?
I was recommend a pretty forgotten book in my first language and it reads precisely like that – a strange tale that is written as an excuse to share philosophical and metafictional theories made up by the author. Maybe its the obscurity of the piece and the author, the strange title, the intertextuality, the strange story parts, but all of it leaves me with a bit of an uneasy feeling. Like if you found a book somewhere in the back of the library, a book that was striked front the index but not thrown away and you read it and it somehow gets under your brain and starts to correspond with real life. Not in a horror way but just subtle things and ideas that make you keep the book in your mind throughout the day.
