I just finished Anna Karenina and I thought it was great, though I know some people hated those parts I really enjoyed Levin’s existential crisis and eventual spiritual growth (not so interested in his thoughts on Russian farming).

Does anyone have any recommendations for characters going through philosophical crisis that are more in-depth. Not really interested in light easy reads like the Alchemist but ones that dive deep into the human condition/psyche.
