Any sci-fi/fantasy book which is easy to read? I don’t have a habit of reading books, and the hard to understand language make it more off putting, so maybe I can start with ‘easy’ english book. also any advice on reading books with hard to understand english. I just started 1986 by George Orwell, and even the first paragraph is hard to imagine, for example take the below paragraph:
It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen. Winston Smith, his chin nuzzled into his breast in an effort to escape the vile wind, slipped quickly through the glass doors of Victory Mansions, though not quickly enough to prevent a swirl of gritty dust from entering along with him.
Now why did it say breast when it was a guy?
