I’m spending a weekend at the lake in NH for a girls getaway and am looking for a book to read. Hoping to find something that is:
– Fitting for the atmosphere: wintery, rural, lake (like The Shining, Rock, Paper, Scissors, The House Across the Lake); and/or
– A fun read, which to me is usually something twisty like Gone Girl or Shutter Island (both I read before the movie, so I enjoyed them).
This is supposed to be a mom’s weekend away from responsibilities so I’m not looking for anything heavy or highbrow (clearly), just something to unwind with and enjoy.
