Never been a big book guy, haven’t even read a book in probably 6 years. But due to some issues I want to start to fill my day up more and decided reading can help with that. I bought 2 books the other day so I’m excited to start. But was wanting to know what times of day do you usually read? And do you ever read more than one at a time. And how long does it take for you to read through a book?

    2. I start my day by reading for 20 minutes while drinking coffee. I usually read more at some point, but that 20 minutes is an ingrained habit that just starts my day right. And yes, I usually have a fiction and a nonfiction going at the same time.

I usually read the most when I start in the afternoon; that way if I get sucked in I can read for hours. I start a lot of books without finishing them, but at the moment I’m switching between a poetry collection, fictional rom com, and a couple non fictions (I can only read about 5 pages of facts before I tap out). I find that when I put a timeline on reading, it becomes less enjoyable. Every book is different and every reader reads in their own way, so I say just read when you feel like reading and never force yourself too hard to finish or hit a certain milestone (but getting into a routine can help you stay motivated to pick up the books).

    4. It could be anytime of the day! It depends on my mood because it will follow from there. I think its better to not read more than one book if you’re only getting into reading, this prevents being on a reading slump, but some readers can totally do this and I don’t know how they do it hahaha 😂

when you read really depends on your routine! but definitely start incorporating it into your daily life! for example: when you’re eating a meal or when you have 20 minutes free, pick up your book and read! just adding 20 minutes a day gets you into the flow with reading! also a tip is not being afraid of trying different genres! i always see guys on tiktok scared to try certain genres (romance & fantasy) because it’s “girly” and it makes me sad because they might truly enjoy it! as for how many i read at once, it depends! sometimes i’ll have a physical book to read and kindle read! it’s up to my mood 🙂 and for how long it takes, i can read a 300 page book in maybe 4-5 hours but i’m a fast reader! it depends on how fast you’re able to read!

      hope this helps at all!

I like to read a little in the afternoon and right before bed.

It takes me as long to finish a book as it takes to finish it.

    7. I read pretty much whenever I have time. If I have paperbacks or hard copies I usually read only at home, but if I’m reading on Kindle I take it everywhere and read every chance I get. I’ll read in line waiting for groceries or pumping gas.

It’s definitely better to sit down in a quiet place to read, and I usually read for maybe half an hour a day. I like to read right after work, but sometimes I have stuff to do so I’ll read whenever I have free time that night. If by some miracle I have free time on the weekends, I’ll sit and read for hours straight.

I can finish a 300-400 page book in a week or less pretty easily. Faster if it’s a lighter work of fiction, and longer if I’m very busy that week. I don’t always read two books at the same time, but when I do it helps to read one fiction and one non-fiction to keep it straight.

    8. reading at the same time of day every day is a good strat or have a weekday schedule and a weekend schedule. for example I read first thing in the mornings on weekends but on weekdays I read after work or right before bed.

Yes I read two books at the same time. I’ve also gotten better about reading things to enjoy them and absorb information. Much less stressful than reading every page of every book I start. If i start something I don’t like I don’t pressure myself to finish it. there’s too many options that I would really enjoy reading for that approach.

    9. it’s great u want to start reading!! what books did u get?? i read whenever i feel bored, sometimes i read when i’m taking a relaxing bath or if i cant get to sleep and i want to relax my eyes and brain. as for how long it takes for me to finish a book- i’d say it varies. sometimes 4 days, sometimes 4 weeks. i’d say i’m an average/slow reader. and yes last month i read two books at the same time- girl in pieces and the cousins. i think it can be good to read two books at once (but not necessary) because u may have different moods. sometimes im in a mood for something sad and raw, and other times i just want to read a good old murder mystery. hope that helps xx
