Maybe a weird request but I’m looking for something that invokes the same feeling as the painting “wanderer over the sea fog”, a feeling of triumph, awe, epicness, adventure, and curiosity.
Preferably looking for poetry, in any style, and l ong narrative poems but novels I’ll be happy with!
Preferably something more old or classic as I’m also a fan of the history surrounding a work. Thanks

Ok I had to look up the painting but it immediately made me think of The Kingdoms by Natasha Pulley!
Rime of the Ancient Mariner,
The Long Ships by Bengtsson
The Physician by Noah Gordon
Some Romantic literature of/set in the Alps may appeal such as Lord Byron’s Manfred and Shelley’s “Mount Blanc.” Maybe Frankenstein (if a novel is okay)? Sections of The Prelude. If nonfiction is a possibility, I really enjoyed The Wager by David Grann.
