Hello Everyone!

Looking for some modern book recommendations.
I own all of Piers Anthony’s Xanth and Incarnations of Immortality books and would like similar stories.
That is, books for a more mature audience without excessive blood, gore, drugs, and swearing to get that across.

High-Fantasy or Sci-Fi Fantasy is highly preferred but not strictly required.
And most importantly, a story that isn’t allegory. I hate those stories that are either trying to push a message or political view over, well, the story, and the ones that are just transplant stories where the universe it takes place in is just a theme.

Too vague? Nothing else like it exists? Recommendations?
